Derek Kaiding, P.E. joins Haley & Aldrich as a Senior Engineer

January 14, 2010 (Detroit, MI) – Derek Kaiding, P.E. has joined Haley & Aldrich as a Senior Engineer. Mr. Kaiding specializes in addressing diverse legacy contamination issues involving large industrial complexes. He will be responsible for providing engineering and investigatory consulting to an array of Haley & Aldrich’s clients as a member of our Industrial Environmental Business Unit.

Mr. Kaiding’s 20+ years of consulting experience combines formal engineering education with applied experience in project management and investigative and remedial program design and implementation. He has substantial experience with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and state regulations. He is experienced with addressing complex environmental conditions with strategic remedial plans that are focused on cost-effective solutions. He has led numerous investigation teams in the design of soil, groundwater, and sediment sampling programs, the management and interpretation of hydrogeologic and geochemical data, as well as the design of groundwater, soil, and sediment remediation systems . He also has extensive experience managing contractors and conducting health and safety oversight during investigative and remedial construction activities.

Mr. Kaiding is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Michigan Association of Environmental Professionals, and the Engineering Society of Detroit.
