Peter takes a pragmatic approach to his clients’ projects that is aimed at meaningful, lasting solutions. By balancing cost-effective innovations with technically defensible outcomes and honest, open communication, he builds credibility with oversight agencies that straightens the path to consensus. For more than 20 years, Peter has assisted his clients in reducing their costs and liabilities with creative alternatives such as in-situ remediation programs. Much of his practical experience includes work at sites with commingled (multisource) plumes, vapor intrusion concerns, and property development.
Throughout his career, Peter has played a major role in designing, testing, and implementing site-specific approaches for documenting the natural biodegradation of fuel hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and 1,4-dioxane. This includes securing funding and leading the development of a method for applying compound-specific isotope analysis to document the biodegradation of 1,4-dioxane and performing stable isotope assessments of contaminants at over a dozen sites.
