Sarah Mass guides clients as they manage sites impacted by PFAS (poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances), perchlorate, chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, and other contaminants. She prioritizes listening to clients and understanding their project goals, then takes a practical, holistic approach to reaching those goals. With expertise in the chemistry of PFAS, Sarah tracks the evolving science and regulatory landscapes to find solutions that last.
Sarah also has strong research experience, having supported projects focused on analyzing and treating PFAS in drinking water, groundwater, and concentrated wastewater. She actively participates in the National Groundwater Association, the Groundwater Resources Association of California, and the California Stormwater Quality Association, and she frequently presents and publishes on cutting-edge scientific research and methods.
“I’m very passionate about and interested in the work that I’m doing with clients to protect our environment. For better or for worse, I’m thinking about it constantly — some of my best insights have come when I’m out in nature biking or running.”
