Burlington, Mass., Sept. 19, 2018 – Haley & Aldrich announced today that George Hicks has joined the firm as a Principal Consultant. Hicks has more than 35 years of experience working in marine construction, dredging, and environmental remediation throughout the U.S., and has built a reputation for developing and implementing innovative solutions for contaminated sediment projects.

Throughout his career Hicks has worked with Superfund Potentially Responsible Parties (PRPs), paper companies, steel manufacturers, chemical corporations, utilities, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and various municipalities. He specializes in project design and implementation, value-added engineering, constructability reviews, and increasing production rates through efficient equipment and personnel utilization. Prior to Haley & Aldrich, Hicks held a leadership position providing direction and design guidance to a team specializing in contaminated sediment management and remediation services.
Hicks is a 16-year member of the Sediment Management Work Group (SMWG) and is also an active member of the Western Dredging Association (WEDA). He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Russian translator, attended Western Michigan University and completed dredging engineering courses at Texas A&M University.
