Burlington, Mass., July 13, 2020 – Haley & Aldrich announced today that Don Craig has joined the firm’s corporate leadership team in their Burlington, Massachusetts office as Chief Financial Officer. Craig brings over 25 years of financial leadership at dynamic, leading-edge engineering and architecture, telecommunications, and technology companies across the United States and Canada. He has extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, strategic planning, development and implementation of accounting policies, and compliance with financial principles and standards.
Craig replaces Haley & Aldrich’s Bob Gabel as Chief Financial Officer, who is retiring after nearly a decade with the firm. During his tenure, Gabel has played a critical role in navigating market turbulence, supporting financial growth, and positioning Haley & Aldrich for the future.
“Don’s diverse background and proven financial expertise makes him the ideal candidate to support our critical success factors as a living company,” said Larry Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Haley & Aldrich. “By immersing himself in operations and mentoring staff to reach their full potential, Don will support sustainable, long-term growth and success for Haley & Aldrich and our clients.”
Prior to Haley & Aldrich, Craig was Senior Vice President of Financial Services, North America, at Stantec where he led a team of accounting, payroll, and government compliance staff spread across North America to support large-scale revenue growth. In this role, he saw the company through numerous acquisitions and supported rapidly growing operations.
Craig is a Certified Management Accountant with the Certified Management Accountants (CMA) of Canada. In 2012, he was named a fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Additionally, Craig moderated the two-year pre-certification CMA Strategic Leadership Program in Alberta and Ontario for 13 years, mentoring over 300 candidates.
