EPA issues draft risk evaluation for trichloroethylene: Implications for possible changes to risk management

trichloroethylene

Trichloroethylene (TCE) periodically undergoes risk evaluation under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). In February 2020, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a draft risk evaluation for TCE, which could have implications on how organizations manage TCE exposure and risk in the future. Specifically, there may be less need for emergency regulatory responses and a return to a more pragmatic approach to risk management decision-making for TCE.
